Artist Songwriter JodyRule born March 19th Royal Ascot Berkshire England, coming from a large yet humble background. As an ex BRITS School Student Music has always played a big part in my life with many family members being awesome musicians with some of the best stars of the past and to date. Top of the list of inspirations has to be my Father and a few very important people would be my uncle Ivor Ray and my Nan. Music influence is very varied from traditional Pop, R&B, Soul and Gospel. My Idols include Lionel Ritchie, Kirk Franklin, Leo Sayer, Elvis Presley Neil Diamond, James Taylor, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Tracey Chapman. The bands that I have admired range from Hot Chocolate, Kool and the Gang, Stylistics and The Drifters to Supertramp UB40, Commodores and so many more. In January2010 I started to learn to play the Guitar for the first time seriously with the mind-set to song write . Shortly after that I wrote my first song: “Reflection”. Now to date, still learning and seeking a guitarist and I have written around 50+ original songs in the portfolio and a choice select covers performed very much in my unique style. I am following a dream of sharing all kinds of music, with a desire to eventually to work with the youth to find a voice responsibly. Giving them a better life start and empowering them to make better choices. Through the art of creative writing and music which has enabled me to find a happier place after many years.
